- The Geissele Freedom Rifle™ (GFR®) 14.5” Maritime Recce features the latest weapon technology, available exclusively from Geissele Automatics. Designed and Engineered from the ground up, the GFR is the next evolution of the AR15 platform. The 6MM ARC GFR Recce barrels are Chrome-lined, precision machined, and cold hammer forged using the highest quality materials to ensure consistency and quality. Our barrels undergo High-Pressure Testing (HPT) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) to ensure accuracy and reliability. Geissele CHF barrels are an excellent choice for duty weapons, competition guns, and everything in between. Geissele’s Anti-Strike Super Compact Gas Block is a modified gas block and was developed for the USG to give more clearance between the gas block and rail. This allows the rail to deflect further in a drop without striking the gas block, which increases the life span of the rail overall.
- Our GFR platform of rifles features the exclusive GFR-E trigger. This trigger is an enhancement of the SSA-E™ trigger with a standard M4 curve. Engineered with precision in mind, the GFR-E provides the smooth first stage and predictably crisp break shooters have come to expect from a Geissele two-stage trigger. Even with minimal lubrication, our proprietary Nanoweapon Coating enhances corrosion resistance, keeps the fire control group running smoothly, and breaks cleanly — even after heavy use. At the heart of the GFR platform is the Nanoweapon Coated 6MM ARC Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group (REBCG) with features that provide increased corrosion and wear resistance, increased carrier stability, and optimized cartridge-feeding performance. The 6MM ARC REBCG has a chrome lined gas key with properly torqued and staked screws, advanced tool steel cam pin, extended carrier rails, and a purpose-built 6MM ARC GFR Stressproof Bolt. The bolt is forged – not machined from bar stock – to optimize the grain structure of the specially developed Carpenter 158+ steel. This is conducive to cleaner material that is also more resistant to fatigue. Each bolt is not only the subject of thorough quality inspection at each stage but is also high-pressure tested (HPT) and magnetic-particle inspected (MPI). These resilient bolts are designed to significantly increase the service life of the 6MM ARC semi-auto platform bolt, allowing it to reach the full potential of the cartridge. The GFR Recce features the addition of a HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD 6MM ARC suppressor-ready muzzle device. The Nanoweapon-coated HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD muzzle device is compatible with the HUXWRX FLOW 6 k suppressor, FLOW 762 Ti suppressor, or Blastphemy blast deflector (available separately).Our renowned MK16 Super Modular Rail with center alignment tab comes standard on the GFR and mates with a notch in the upper receiver, just the same as the Super Duty lineup. This removes any chance of handguard rotation during use and ensures confidence in anything mounted to the 1913 Picatinny top or the radial M-LOK sections.
